Student enrollment in online courses is increasing at a rate much faster than traditional enrollment - and this trend is expected to continue for at least the next five years. Students like the online environment for the flexibility and availability it offers. Institutions appreciate the flexibility it offers in staffing as well as the opportunity to tap into a new market segment. When implemented properly, a distance learning course can be a tremendous learning experience.
