A listserver is an automated email system whereby subscribers are able to receive and send email from other subscribers to the list. Listservers are usually created for communities of users with common interests (i.e., academic research areas). Although initially very popular, listservers are declining in popularity due to the huge volume of information and lack of organization. More popular these days in RSS (Really Simple Syndication). It takes what you are most interested in and delivers it to your RSS reader. |

Perform an internet search for a listserver on one of your areas of interest (i.e., golf listserver). Try subscribing to this list server to see how it works. Warning: you may want to use a secondary email address so as to not overwhelm your primary email address. |
