that promotes the use of computer technology - great resource for
teachers at all levels |

Technology Forum - similar to our online discussion forums
- the forums are usually moderated by specialists in the field |

Technology - this site used to have information of the future
of technology in education - since the demise of the Technology Institute
of BC |
Rocky View
Virtual School - a school in the Rockyview District of Alberta
that is in the leading edge of virtual school - students mush log
in at a specified time in the morning for attendance |
Greater
Vancouver Distance Education - the largest distance education
provider in BC - uses mostly WEB-CT technology to distribute their
lessons |
MIT
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology - the name says it
all, but as a school that promotes equal access to education - they
provide most courses free online - so if you have Internet access
ad a computer, you too can be educated, but without the MIT recognition |
Microsoft
Interactive Training - one of MIT's course in Microsoft Office
series - you can create a user name and log on - the lessons are interactive
- there are preview and end of series quizzes |
University
of Athabasca - all courses for the degree are delivered via
a variety of distance education media, including the Internet - there
are no face-to-face requirements for completion of the degree |
Lethbridge
University - combination of face-to-face and distance delivery
methods |
Memorial
University - it is intended that the program be offered primarily
as a part-time program through distance delivered courses |
University
of Toronto - it is possible to obtain a complete MED in Curriculum
via distance education |
St.Francis
Xavier - it is a self directed, distance learning program -
the program begins with 3 week mandatory orientation |
