Letter Grade Distribution
Here is the letter grade distribution for this course. During the term,
if the student is not demonstrating, the minimally acceptable performance
in relation to the expected learning outcomes for the course or subject
and grade, an "I" Report and/or Interim Report will be sent
home. This purpose of this report is to help the student achieve the expected
learning outcomes. In addition, during the term, if the student's grade
drops two letter grade, a report will also be sent home.
Letter Grade (Term)
A = 86% - 100%
B = 73% - 85%
C+ = 67% - 72%
C = 60% - 66%
C- = 50% - 59%
I = In Progress (The student is making progress, but it has been determined
that additional time is required to meet the expected learning outcomes
for the course or subject and grade.)
F = Failed or Failing (The student has not demonstrated, or is not demonstrating,
the minimally acceptable performance in relation to the expected learning
outcomes for the course or subject and grade. An "F" may only
be used as a final grade if an "I" grade has been previously
assigned and a plan of assistance has been completed, or if the student
is in the final year of an educational program.)
W = Withdrawal (According to the policy of the Board, and upon request
of the parent of the student or, when appropriate, the student, the administrative
officer in charge of a school may grant permission to a student to withdraw
from a course of subject.)

not possible, a sufficient level of performance has been attained to warrant,
consistent with the best interest of the student, the granting of standing
for the course or subject and grade. Standing Granted may be used in cases
of serious illness, hospitalization, late entry or early leaving, but
may only be granted by an adjudication process authorized by the administrative
officer in charge of the school.)
TS = Transfer Standing (May be granted by the administrative officer
