Rockridge Basketball Camp

The Team
	My name is Kenneth Kim and I am the Rockridge Basketball Camp Director. I hold degrees in Human Kinetics and Education from UBC. As well, I am certified as a Level 1 Basketball Coach and as a Strength Training Instructor with BCRPA. I have been teaching for 7 years and am proficient in many aspects of computing. In my first year as a basketball coach at Rockridge (2001/2002),I realized the importance of developing skills at the elementary level. Moreover,the creation of the Rockridge Basketball Camps will allow us to generate funds to buy much needed basketball equipment and to set up a basketball scholarship program. In terms of coaching, we had a very successful 2002/2003 season as our grade 9 boys team went 10 - 0 in league play and won the North Shores, but lost in the semi-finals in the Vancouver and Districts.

	My name is Simon Burgers and I am also a Rockridge Basketball Camp Director. I have degrees in Biology and Education from the University of Victoria. I have been a teacher for the past 5 years. I am also fluent in French. Having played on both provincial and Vancouver Island select high school teams, I understand first hand the importance of building a successful basketball program at the feeder school level. I have also coached basketball teams in Victoria and have won the city championships as well as placing second and third in other years. Coach Kim and I worked with the grade 9 boys team this year. Needless to say, we had a remarkable season.
