For Your Information

Due to demand for places in the camps, we must adopt the following policy. All fees are non-refundable except for medical reasons or family emergencies. Requests for medical refunds must be accompanied by a physician’s letter. Any withdrawal (medical or family emergencies) after this date will result in a $50 administrative fee plus the cost of the basketball jersey.

Parents are also allowed to watch the camps at any time they may find convenient.

We want our camps to be the best, so let us know if you feel there is any area that needs to be improved. We appreciate the compliments we get when compared to other camps, but we know there is always room for improvement.

Behaviour Rules

-Alcohol, drugs, and tobacco use is strictly prohibited. Anyone breaking this rule will be sent home without their money being refunded.

-Any weapons that are brought to camp will result in the camper being sent home without a refund. Fireworks of any kind are also against the law. The police will be notified if the item is against the law or has endangered campers.

-Profanity will not be tolerated. If it persists, the offender will be sent home without a refund.

-The sole purpose of the Rockridge Basketball Camp is for basketball instructions, drills, and competition. Campers will listen attentively and follow directions. Causing disruptions, horsing around, or goofing off will not be permitted.

-Campers are to treat all campers, Rockridge basketball staff, Rockridge Secondary staff, and West Vancouver School District staff with courtesy and respect.

-Campers are to help keep the Rockridge Seconday campus free of litter.

-Campers are forbidden to leave the college campus without parental permission. Even with written permission, make sure a Rockridge basketball staff know where you are going. There will be a sign in / sign out sheet located near the main entrance.

-Campers are reminded to be responsible for their own actions.

Medication, Illness, and Injuries

Campers should come in adequate physical condition. Please notify us of any medication, allergies, asthma, etc. that your child has. The notification and application are filed and will be pulled if your child is injured.

We use the most convenient hospital emergency room for any serious injuries. Rockridge basketball staff will give permission for the hospital staff to perform treatment considered necessary. Please indicate in writing if this is objectionable to you. We always try to call parents immediately, but sometimes we are unable to locate them until later.

Individual accident insurance, similar to that available at schools, is provided by the camp for each participant. This is limited coverage and would provide benefits only for accidental injury medical expenses not covered by the camper’s private coverage.
