Participation in sports is an important part of the overall development of children. Sport specific camps such as ours allow children to focus on individual and team skills required to be successful. As a school in the early stages of building a successful basketball program, we are focusing our efforts in the feeder schools surrounding Rockridge Secondary. We believe it is important to develop the skill early in the elementary years in order to be competitive with other schools in the North Shore. The team of Kenneth Kim and Simon Burgers, teachers at Rockridge Secondary, have created the Rockridge Basketball Camps to meet this need in West Vancouver.
